WIMBERLEY, TX – On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, community members, water leaders, and elected officials will gather for the State of the Water Luncheon—a timely event hosted by the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by Ozona Bank and the Watershed Association. The luncheon will take place at the Wimberley Community Center, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with lunch provided by Hays City Store.

As the Wimberley Valley faces intensifying pressures from drought and development, this event offers an essential opportunity to engage with the people and policies shaping the region’s water future. Attendees will hear from a dynamic lineup of speakers, including:

  • Dr. Robert Mace, Executive Director, The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment

  • Jenna Walker, Director of Watershed Services, The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment

  • Local leaders, including Mayor Jim Childs, Mayor Pro Tem Rebecca Minnick, Mayor Jeff Rasco, and Commissioner Morgan Hammer
