Upper Trinity Symposium

$15The 2018 Upper Trinity Symposium is hosted by the North Central Texas Council of Governments and the Upper Trinity Conservation Trust.
The Denton County Greenbelt Plan, developed jointly by Denton County, Upper Trinity Conservation Trust and the Upper Trinity Regional Water District, identifies many strategies to protect local water sources, including municipal planning and low impact development (LID) practices.
Participants will hear from industry and local experts on the benefits of LID practices for stormwater management, effective ways to promote the implementation of LID by developers, and how cities can use different planning strategies to encourage implementation. During his keynote speech, Dr. Robert Mace of the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, formerly of the Texas Water Development Board, will discuss the importance of land conservation to mitigate flood risk and enhance quality of life.
