Our Water, Our Future, Ours To Protect
November 4, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
The Texas Master Naturalists present a roundtable, Our Water, Our Future, Ours To Protect. (formerly “The Near Future and Water Sustainability” and HOPE panel). as the culminating 2020 Certification Class program on Wednesday November 4 from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Upper Guadalupe River Authority auditorium located at 125 Lehman Drive Ste 100 in Kerrville.
The goal is to both inform as well as to inspire the students to engage in actions in their communities to relieve the threats to our watersheds. Conservation, good stewardship and intervening in these threats are all actionable options for us as Hill Country citizens.
We believe this Roundtable is an excellent way for Texas Master Naturalist students to learn from individuals who represent citizen engagement to halt ecological threats. Daniel Oppenheimer, Hill Country Alliance Land Program Manager, is the moderator. Margo Denke representing the efforts of the Friends of Hondo Canyon, David Baker founder of the Wimberley Valley Watershed Association and Annalisa Peace who directs the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance and represents the Friends of Honey Creek are the three panelists.
