WVWA teamed up with Save Barton Creek Association, Clean Water Action, Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance, Save Our Springs Alliance, and Protect Our Water to advocate for a legislative ban on sewage discharge permits within the hydrological contributing zone of the Edwards Aquifer. Such a ban would also help protect the interconnected Trinity Aquifer. Although the campaign’s namesake refers to one of the more notorious discharge permits for the City of Dripping Springs, our ultimate goal is the regional ban. Further, the campaign seeks to educate a variety of stakeholders about alternatives to direct discharge.
You can join the petition, find information about alternatives, and keep up with news and updates at the No Dumping Sewage website.
