Resilient Communities Program – Stakeholder Planning Workshop

October 7 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

As a reminder, the Stakeholder Planning Workshop is scheduled for Monday, October 7th, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Wimberley City Hall.

The meeting is an interactive workshop to review the community feedback surveys and determine preferred growth patterns for the City.   We will also discuss the water conservation chapter in more detail.

Before the workshop, we will be sending you a Stakeholder Planning Guide to review and bring with you to the workshop.  The Stakeholder Planning Guide was developed by the Langford team and provides key data analysis, graphs, and maps to help prepare for the workshop.

We do not plan to walk through the details of the guide at the workshop.  Instead, the setting is for us to guide you through GIS map layers to develop your conceptual land use plan with proposed infrastructure and thoroughfare plans.  We’ll finish up with a discussion of the City of Wimberley water conservation study additional chapter.

This plan, combined with the results of past surveys and discussions, will become the basis of the written plan sections and the community goals and objectives that will make up the preliminary draft Comprehensive Plan document.  Each of those sections will be distributed to the Committee for its review as they are developed.

There is a lot to digest and process during our time together.  Both your attendance at the meeting and your review of the Stakeholder Planning Guide before the workshop are critical to success.

We anticipate using the full three-hour window, so please plan accordingly.

As always, thanks for your work to date and for your work in advance of the next meeting.
